English & Maths Functional Skills Teacher and Coordinator

I joined EMBS in April 2023, bringing an academic background in English Language Teaching and Educational Psychology, which has shaped my approach to adult education.

My journey began as an EFL teacher and later as Head of the Foreign Languages Department in various colleges across Istanbul, Turkey, where I gained a deep understanding of language acquisition and effective teaching methodologies.

As a second language learner myself, I intimately relate to the challenges and triumphs our students experience. This personal connection drives my commitment to creating inclusive and effective educational programs at EMBS. I look forward to contributing my skills and over 25 years of experience in education to support our learners on their educational journeys.

«I arrived in this country four months ago, without any confidence in my English and really scared to be an independent person at sixteen. I didn't know what my next steps were since the education in my country is really different. One day, my aunt bought me to EMBS.
