Health and Social Care Level 2 & 3

EMBS.ac.uk —  Sixth Form — Health and Social Care Level 2 & 3

On this course, you will work towards a Level 2 Health & Social Care Award. This qualification shows employers that you have reached a nationally recognised standard in this subject. This can help gain a job in childcare, nursing, working with elderly people and many other jobs where you have a duty of care.

There are two units that need completing: Unit 3 Person-centred Care and Unit 4 Safeguarding. The award is coursework based, with seven sub tasks within the two units.

You will learn about:
– equality and diversity
– a person-centred approach
– effective and practical ways to communicating

A key aspect of the course is learning how to develop a positive, professional approach to providing care that supports and empowers individuals who need services to help them in their daily lives. You will also learn about the signs of neglect and abuse and how we can safeguard and support others in need.
