We re-opened both Oxfordshire sites to our Sixth Form students last week and really enjoyed seeing them again!
We were really happy with the turnout – many of our students attended at least one of the sessions and they seemed happy to be back in college and with each other. We did some sessions indoors and some outside and ran a combination of fun maths boosters, ESOL English lessons, English study sessions and outdoor socials.
On Wednesday, Andy Bedlow one of our teachers in Banbury organised a scavenger hunt in People’s Park, which the students obviously enjoyed as they persevered with it despite the heat!
In Vicky Cunniffe’s English lessons, learners watched a video about speed dating and many learners thought it may just be the perfect way to find a spouse! In fact one student in particular seemed very keen to try it, so watch this space…
All in all, we are so pleased that the first week back after such a challenging time has gone so smoothly. Vicky said: “After working hard on calculated grades and online teaching, it’s been a real pleasure to be back in the classroom (or the park) doing what we love most about our jobs!”
