It has been over a month now since we moved our classes online. Our teachers and students have risen to the challenge brilliantly and it has been wondeful seeing everyone embracing this opportunity to keep learning. Here is some feedback from our level 1 students:
Katya: “Starting the classes at EMBS was for me a very important step to start my independence in the UK. The teacher and my classmates became an essential part of my social contact in Oxford. In these strange times it is very important for me to keep in touch with them, meet regularly and share how we feel. In that sense the online classes help me to be dynamic and feel supported. The online classes help me to continue learning and practising the English language. Otherwise it would be very difficult for me to practise the language since at home we only speak my mother language. ”
Vanessa: From my point of view online classes are being much better than I thought. I’m learning a lot and being more serious with the homework that Helen sends us. Although I prefer face-to-face classes because I really like to interact with my classmates, online classes are fun and very entertaining.
Anca: Thank you to all the EMBS team for giving me the chance to be part of this class.
Paola: This has also helped me to develop my computer skills with the different websites and apps we use for our homework.
Florentina: For me I have something to look forward to – it is one of the main jobs of the week. I am grateful EMBS decided to move the clases online – thank you to Jane for the supportive phone calls and my amazing teacher Helen and all the EMBS team for making this possible!
Rodas: This is the perfect time to build communities and inspire to each other while you get the benefits of studying. I understand that we are all facing a hard and unusual time. However, I strongly recommend you continue your study online!
