I spent my school years speaking Hindi, completed my Masters in English and went on to teach Urdu. If anyone knows the struggle of juggling languages, it’s me! My background is largely in teaching and education, particularly looking at the progress of women’s education in India. This has fed the passion I have today to help others equip themselves with the skills they need to be the independent and outspoken individuals that they are.
EMBS was the first institution in Oxford where I received training and the place I have developed most as a professional. It’s been a pleasure to have been a part of the team for the past 10 years. I am CELTA qualified and I teach English Functional Skills and ESOL. I try to create a relaxing and friendly atmosphere in classrooms to provide a safe learning environment for students. It’s a sheer joy to see our learners grow, achieve their goals and lead successful lives.
