I have been working with EMBS community college as a consultant since 2014 having been a member of the Board of Directors for the previous 6 months. Contracts have covered a variety of roles but more recently they have been focused on funding applications & supporting the development of EMBS’ business.
Prior to setting up my own company, I have a successful track record of 35 years’ teaching and management experience in Further Education, including at Senior Management level in a large London College.
My background is ESOL and EFL teaching and teacher training (as a CELTA trainer), 14 years managing and developing Adult and Community Education at middle management level and 6 years’ experience of Equal opportunities/Race Awareness Training in the state and voluntary sectors.
I have successful experience of bid writing and project management in both Further and Higher Education including setting up and running the Programmes for the Unemployed at Activate Learning (‘Get That Job’) and ‘Brookes Bridges’ at Oxford Brookes University. I have a PGCE, MA in Applied English Linguistics and a Diploma in Leadership and Management.
